Hi. I got the link to this forum from ersigh's thread on BARF, and decided to come see what the place is like!

I got my moto license in Colorado in 1979, rode mostly for basic transportation for about 2 years, then moved to Boston, where I didn't ride. 13 years later, in 1995, I moved to California and shortly thereafter bought another bike. At first I didn't ride that often because the bike (a 1996 DR650, which I still ride) was so tall I could barely touch the ground, and that intimidated me. But one day I realized this was ridiculous, and became determined to learn how to deal with a tall bike. It now has over 58,000 miles on it, and has been my only transportation for nearly 6 years.
