THe IRS sent me a check so I bought farkles,
First I bought a Laminar Lip, here is a before pic and the lip at the lowest setting and at the highest setting. I've riden 40 miles at the low setting and only 4 miles at the high setting, I think I'm going to like the high setting better.
Next I upgraded the pegs so I can keep my muddy boots on the pegs.

More to come when I get the work done.

The Laminar lip is a great investment.. Those pegs look like your planning on a little off road adventure.:riding:

Gotta love those mods! I don't know about the Laminar Lip, but the pegs are a lot like the ones Nut and I have on our bikes. They work great with muddy boots, and make standing up easier and safer.

See I just knew the IRS was good for something!

Right?:confused2:

I look forward to seeing it soon. I want to know what you think about the LL when you get some more miles on it.

Boots + Mud + Stock Pegs = Ouch!

I still have the scars after 29 years...:mgbanghead:

I bought some new to me side cases, I've been using 36 liter cases and bought some 21 liter cases. They hold more than I carry normally, the nice thing about the Givi mounting system is I can change to the bigger cases whe I need then in about 1 minute.

I upgraded my horn from a 105 db. beep to a 130 db. honk.

I also have been checking and adjusting the valves.

for some reason it won't load the picture of the old horn.

Being able to change from one set of bags to another quickly depending on what your plans is very cool kk
:chin:Although I would fill the larger ones with no problem. I have a 19 liter tank bag figuring I would have tons of space but NOPE I have it full of all sorts of "What ifs"

Upgrade to a louder the horn another good idea  I have been thinking about doing that myself

I got the horn at NAPA auto parts, it's 130 decibels. Part # is 730-3804, they call it a universal motorcycle horn.

Thanks for the info!

I've been considering installing a Stebel Air Horn, but it's bigger and presents mounting problems vs. a standard shaped motorcycle horn.

How does this one sound? is it deeper than the usual high pitched "toot" emitted from most stock horns?

KansasKawboy
03-25-2008, 01:05 PM
They say it's low tone, not as low as I hoped but lower [deeper] than the stock horn.

I'd love to have a heavy duty, 18 wheeler style air horn. Some cell phone talking, yelling at the kids soccer mom cuts you off, and HONK.

I replaced the left hand switches witha unit that has push to cancel and has a swich to turn the head light off, more volts for the starter.

I added a stone guard for the head light.

I put on a dash and volt meter like the one LD got. I didn't take a before picture.

Is the switch next to your volt meter an on/off for power to the meter?

I like your light protecter. Looks good KK!

Now get out and RIDE!!!:wootrock:

We need pics...

I agree that the light protector is really cool. And now that you have a light protector you need to ride some challenging off road trails to see if it works. I'll be here waiting for the pics.

Nice KK  everything looks great. and you have a double duty piece when you are camping you could take your headlight protector screen off and use it as a grill

I be here with everyone waiting on those RR's KK

After 150 miles with the Laminor lip I'm very happy with it, I haven't been a bobble head since I put it on and the wind doesn't bother me as much. It works good for me.

Defeating the bobble head bike thing is a must! Nothing worse than your eyeballs bouncing around in your head. Great work on the bike:thumbsup:
