Hodges Village - An Oxford, MA Trail Odyssey
OK, now I'm a three week veteran (http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/lol8.gif ) of learning how to trail ride. Topped off by the fact that I'm a four week veteran (http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/yelrotflmao.gif ) of riding motos, period. So far, it's been a fantastic journey. http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/thumb.gif

Today was another ADVenture at Hodges Village Dam in Oxford, MA. I'm lucky to live only a few miles away to a moto-legal trail system. DedSmurf was back for more fun and we met up with Beez at the trail head:

Hit the dirt and make our way to the top of the quarry - a shot of Beez and DedSmurf, then Beez and me, as well as a scenic overlook:

Beez gets acquainted with kick-starting the KTM - he would need this a few times today:

We then decide to tackle a new route (for us) behind the quarry. I decide to start by practicing my get the KLX up off the side of the trail moves (I'm getting to be a pro - repetition clearly helps http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/lol8.gif ):

Apparently this looked like so much fun that Beez tried it in the water:

We make it out of this trail and pop out onto the powerlines:

Beez and I head out the powerlines:

Back down the road towards the quarry:

End of a good day on the trails:

Oh yes, a shot of the KLX with it's ADV decal http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/icon10.gif :

Thanks to DedSmurf and Beez for letting me be a part of today's antics.

DirtGrlll has some sort of cloaking device so no one can take a photo of her in focus.

That's DedSmurf. He wants you to join him on the TAT this June. No seriously, he's looking for riders.

That's all I have. BTW when I got home I dropped my bike again. http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/lol8.gif Was it only me experiencing all those gravity storms yesterday? http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/ne_nau.gif

Thanks all. I'm used to wiping out coming from mountain biking. I appreciate all the positive feedback from the ride reports. This weekend I have zippo unfortunately. Saturday afternoon took my dogs mountain biking and then Sunday afternoon a quick 50 miles close to home. But I'll try to do better next weekend if the weather cooperates!!!
