Now to start cutting all the mudflap plastic off to put in the undertail and integrated tail light. This is going to be a job.

Do you have a pic or link to the new undertail and tail light you chose?

What are the little nylon-strap-handle thingies for? :chin:

You guys are brutal. No pressure at all. It's going to be a few days before I get it back together. IF I get it back together.

No worries mate! I hear somewhere around here that taking pics of the tear down really helps for putting it back together. Don't forget to post those too?

k, I will leave you alone now.....

Oh, this is for Maleficent,s ZZR.

Here is it with the big azz mud flap, bug eye turn signals and red lense with bulb lights right now

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb102/tangman99/motorcycle/IMG_3682.jpg

and what it should look like when I get done with the undertail. clear tail light with integrated LED signals.

The straps go through the D ring of the helmet and then over the black posts you see.

That only works if you take them at every step. The one picture you see is it. The only other thing I have is a big pile of parts and a box of hardware.

LOL! No. You can't see the strap when the seat is on it. It is under the seat.

Well, I have it all cut up but having problems with the fitment. Nothing unusual with aftermarket plastic but it is still getting on my nerves. Hope to get it all fixed up tomorrow.

IT'S DONE! This was the biggest pain in the arse mod I have ever done a bike, but it looks pretty good now that it's over. Added an undertail, C.A. Intergrated Tail light and to keep the wheel from throwing stuff up into the undertail, we added an aftermarket rear hugger. Here are the pics. Hope you didn't get too fat eating pop corn while you waited.

First pictures with just the undertial and tail light. I haven't mounted the tag yet.

Thanks! The screen has been on for a few weeks and she does love it. I'm wondering what's going to be next. Probably exhaust but I think she needs to put a set of black pig spotters on there.

Looks great!

Where does the license plate attach? on the swingarm? or does something poke down out of the slot looking thing under the tail light area?

...and I don't know if it's the pics or what, but the rear tire hugger looks like it would hit the undertail if she hit a big enough bump :chin:

I have to drill some holes and mount some brackets under the tail. The slot allows light from the tail light to shine through and light up the plate.

There is pretty good room as the undertail is curved, but it is lowed so I hope it won't be a problem.
