:omg: That is amazing!

I use to love running the combine, but I wasn't very fast. I was always slowing for the rabbits and birds and saw a fox once and ...

That's cool. My mom's family used to farm in Kansas. I have some good memories as a child of sitting in a combine with uncles or older cousins as they harvested. Never that fast though!

I was never that fast. Heck our fields would never allow that kind of speed. Would have plowed the gleaner right into the ground!

I loved running a combine too, but like Astir I stopped too often. "oh look a pheasant!"

On the way to Indy I passed an OLD Gleaner. I so wanted to take a pic but it was not safe to stop and the POS camera does not take "on the fly" pics in low light well.:mghissyfit:

I've thought about taking my camera to the Ag Hall of Fame and taking pics of all the old tractors and eguipment they have.

Ooooh, cool!!

Dakar - I used to run an old four row Gleaner for a corn research company. We had 11 plots in 7 States, I spent from April to October on the road and then did a month in south FL in Jan. or Feb., man I miss that job!

When I got hurt at the Fire Dept. I walked away with a mangled knee, an EMT license, and a CDL...I put the CDL to work pretty quick. That job was awesome but I don't know how it would work out if a person actually had a home life, partners frown on you being gone 8 months a year. :D:
