DawgPound Racing, which is made up of our very own
James Cornell from Helimot European Accessories (leathers),
and Doug Dano of Mission Motorcycles are packing up and
making the trip to the Isle of Man to compete in the TT race
this year. http://www.dawgpoundracing.com (http://www.dawgpoundracing.com/)
"Why is this important, Mike?"
Because an American sidecar team has never finished a race at the Isle of Man.
Americans as individuals have finished the race either driving a
sidecar rig, or riding as a passenger on a sidecar rig, with a team
member of another country of origin on board... But a true American
team has never had this honor.
"So what makes them think they have a chance?"
For the 2005 season Doug and James finished First on the
West Coast, and Second in the Nation overall. I am fairly
confident they stand a fighting chance of not only finishing the
race, but kicking some ass as well. And if they race this year,
they qualify to race next year... 2007, the 100 year annniversary
of the Isle of Man TT races.
"So get to the point already..."
They're selling nifty 'supporter' t-shirts to help them with the cost
of boxing everything up and flying over there. They're 25 bucks
each, and all proceeds go to helping Doug and James kick ass at
the IOM TT races.

If you're at all interested in helping them out and you happen to be
local in the SF Bay Area... you can pick up a shirt from either the SFMC
Clubhouse, Mission Motorcycles (ask for Doug), or Helimot Leathers (ask for James).
Otherwise you use the PayPal or Check/Money Order system shown above.
