Yesterday was the date for the annual Toy Run- its always the first Sunday in December.

Last year it wasn't much fun as it poured down with rain, but although first thing was quite frosty it soon turned into a really nice if chilly day.

6 of us met up at my friend Nutty's house for a cup of tea, before heading off to Bolney where the run starts

Its then time to load up with some more toys, as Nutty had some spares

Loppy the bunny did look a bit put out!

We set off about 10am to Bolney Motorcycle workshop where everyone meets up

Even Santa is there, with his missus
looks like he doesn't have to worry about no parking signs!

There was time for a quick cup of coffee & a chat with the other bikers

and to admire those who had put up the xmas decorations

but the toys were getting restless
http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v848/68/99/888320726/n888320726_5107122_8550.jpg

so it was time to go

The ride takes about an hour, winding its way through the Sussex countryside & villages.

I was fairly near the front. I think there were about 90 bikes in all. Some years there has been a lot more, but I think the frost probably put a lot of people off-which is a shame as it had all disappeared by the time we started riding.

We finish at a local hotel near Gatwick

This bike's along way from home!
One of my friends recently did a trip across the States then shipped the Harley back-even with shipping he saved himself about £8k on buying one here

And how cute is this little lad? I think he's going to break a few hearts when he gets older!

does santa's bum look big in this?

Everyone unpacks their toys

Although some don't want to get off the bikes!

The toys get handed over to The Golden Lions Childrens Charity
http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v848/68/99/888320726/n888320726_5107139_3846.jpg

They distribute them to disadvantaged children, who otherwise might not get a pressie for xmas.

The charity say their thanks by providing Tea & mince pies, which gives everyone another chance for a chat

Looks like such a good time! The pics of everyone riding down the country road kept making me lean to the right as if to nudge you into the correct lane. I better never try to bike a bike over there!

 lol- I have to admit I much prefer riding on the right hand side of the road like the USA & Europe- I quite often have to think about what side of the road I should be on when I'm here in the UK which isn't good!
