Welcome st8racin!

Thank you for registering!

While looking around don't forget to check out the garage and profile sections!! They are areas where you can personalize your own little nook of TWF!! Its a nice way to put faces with names and to find more about the great people on the site.

As always, if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to ask us or let us know!

How about you start off by telling us a little bit about yourself?

Ok well I was slacking when I signed up for this forum and never really introduced myself.

I'm a new rider, had my endorsement for a month this weekend and less than 100 miles on the bike. Not really sure what got me into riding, just wanted to learn one day. Wasn't till last fall that I really got serious about it tho. I found this site through a post on myspace. Not really sure what else to say other than "hi".

Hiya. Did you have any friends who rode when you got into it?

Not when I first got the idea in my head that I wanted to ride. It was my neighbor (who had 3 bikes when I first met him, TL, R1, and SV 1000) that helped me finally make it happen tho. Helped me find my bike, get it ready after we picked it up, and taught me a lot of the things I need to know for riding. Took the MSF class for the actual learning to ride part.

It's always good to have a mentor. I've been the mentor to a bunch of riders. I started out on my own and didn't get a mentor until I had been riding for about 6 months. At that point I had the basics down but needed help in the canyons. It made a big difference. :]
