Today I got to be hack monkey for DH. Its a dirty job, but somebody has to do it!

He's been playing tag on one of the Ural forums and on Adventure Rider. One of the Alabama tags was close enough that he wanted to go this morning. So after we got up and moving at the crack of nine, we stopped to get breakfast and headed up to the Locust Fork area. :riding: It was a lovely day for a ride! It was about 45 to 50 miles up to Locust Fork, and then we had to stop to ask directions to the particular location. But as we were riding down the hill to the low water bridge, we saw another rider parked and taking pictures of us as we rode down. I had to laugh. http://wallybob.smugmug.com/photos/465109858_xeb6C-S.jpg

Then after we parked, another rider came up. http://wallybob.smugmug.com/photos/465109078_sbkZw-S.jpg

But the kicker was that none of us were the first ones there. It had already been tagged. The first rider had his iphone and we saw the next tag location. It was a county over.

The rider who was there first, DeBandi, decided to go home, and the rider who joined us, Jumper5392, decided it was a lovely day to search for another tag. :wootrock:So we headed out to Ashville. We wound through the countryside and found the next tag. http://wallybob.smugmug.com/photos/465107693_dhTtQ-S.jpg DH & Jumper5392 were debating who would post it, and it became a whoever can get home first and do it. We were able to post it first, but if we couldn't have, it would have been ok.

Hack monkey is lots of fun! Nice comfy seat, no driving responsibilities, photographer (when the camera battery is fully charged), and navigator. :roflmao: It was a nice clear day, highs in between 55F and 60F.

Tomorrow I have to get on the scooter and practice what I learned last weekend. I was getting chilled by the time we got home, and was pretty tired. :sleep:Tomorrow afternoon, scooter here I come!

This is confusing, Alabama is 55-60 and Kansas City set a new record high for yesterday 70. It's back to reality today 47, Monday 36, Tuesday 30. You get the picture.

And I had a migraine probably caused by the front that made the 70 weather, so I did not get out for a ride...:mgbanghead:

And in the wind we lost some roofing on the house. It sounded like reindeer running around on the roof. Took me a minute to figure out what it was! It's not bad yet...
