I wonder if there are leather pants out there that look like denim - in color, anyway...
I think my new jacket (that new G-Line Del Mar I spoke of in the other thread) looks way better with jeans than with black leather pants, but for safety reasons, I'm a believer in leather...

Last summer I was looking at some of the alpine stars ones. They came out with a line specifically for women called Stella. They do have a pair of jeans with knee protection in them if that is a route you might like to go. Other than alpinestars I didn't do much looking around so I don't know if there are other lines that carry them. Hope that helps get you started.

Actually, I have the Draggin Jeans (Kevlar reinforced) for the days I'm tempted to forgo the leathers. That's what made me realize that I like the look of my new jacket with jeans! But, typically, I like to go for the leather for safety purposes.
Just got in from a glorious ride. Was just going to order tires, and took a 120 mile detour! Heaven.

Icon has jeans that have reinforced knees. They look kinda weird with the stitching, but it does serve a purpose. We have a couple pairs of the black ones in our store. (I work at a Yamaha/Honda/Aprilia dealer). I don't like the black AT all, but the blue looks ok. Check out rideicon.com
I went with the Icon Kitty Chaps. But I tend to not wear them once it's warm out... so maybe it's time I check into better jeans to ride in.

I wear full gear pretty much all the time. I either wear textiles or my leather suit. Sometimes I wear just jeans, if I'm not going far and am not going on the freeway. I have chosen to bypass stylish good looks for hardcore good looks. I've witnessed far too many accidents and been in a few of my own (thanks to bad drivers) to feel safe in even "light" gear.
I had draggin' jeans for awhile but it bothered me not having my lowers attached to my uppers. If I were to go down and slide, there's the possibility the pants could pull down some or the jacket up and I'd lose skin. Ewww.
The guys I ride with ride in jeans most of the time but wear dirt bike armor underneath.

I agree completely! That's why I was hoping to find leathers that LOOK like jeans, but still give me the safety advantage of a full suit! (Have my cake and eat it too!) I don't think such a thing exists, though.

Well, if it doesn't exist, maybe you should make them yourself? I'm sure there are other people besides you that want them. :)

I've never seen such a thing... but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm a compulsive gear shopper. I'm always looking, even if I don't need anything.
It's probably something you would have to have custom made... or as ersigh suggested, make it yourself (if you're good at that type of stuff).

Definitely NOT good at that!! Once I tried to hem curtains... and vowed never to touch a sewing maching again! But I can cook with the best! Yeah - I wonder if there is even leather out there dyed to look like jeans....

Actually, we have a Wilson's outlet nearby & they carry demin-colored leather pants, but they're for fashion, not protection...Maybe they could be reinforced somehow?

Go to a leather shop who makes motorcycle gear, if there is no one near you, maybe find one online (like helimots or zooni (there are many others)), I'm sure you could get them to make what you want.

I am not sure if you are local (to upstate NY) but if you are, there is a place in Ballston Spa called Jenne Leathers. She makes a lot of custom motor sports attire, from jackets to bags, etc... I've not seen her do pants, but from the work I have seen, I am confident she can come up with something for anyone.

I know of a couple that does do custom leather stuff here in Tucson - I don't know if they specifically do sport moto stuff, but I could always ask...
Helimot did occur to me - but, $$$!

While touring last summer, I met a woman who wore these Giali jeans (http://www.giali.com/mod/product/id_prd/85). I have no idea if anyplace stateside sells them...but she seemed to really like her pair and they looked really nice.

Power Trip has a leather over-pant that looks like jeans with side zipper & snap bottom. Black Diamond (I think) is the style

Thanks Debra! I guess part of the look I wanted in the "leather blue jeans" was the blue part - seems the overpants come only in black. But the syling IS nice...
