Despite losing her Red Bull AMA Rookies Cup ride (canceled - thanks a lot Red Bull), Elena Myers is making great strides with Kawasaki supporting her with their new supersport ZX6R. It's good to see her back in the news.

Elena Meyers ROCKS!!!
Elena Myers made history on Saturday when she became the first female rider to win an AMA Road Racing event. Myers rode to victory in the AMA Supersport race at the West Coast Motor Jam at the Infineon Raceway.
Meyers was also the youngest person, at 16 years old, to be competing in the Supersport event.
“It hasn't sunk in yet," said Myers, “I’m in another world right now.”
Myers race win came at a race that saw two red flags. Myers was leading at lap 9 when Joey Pascarella lost control of his bike. The red flags came down, and Myers was declared the winner.
“I don't know what to say. It's an amazing moment," said Matt Myers, Elena's dad. "I'm just happy some luck went our way this time. It feels good."
Myers is the first female to win an AMA Pro racing event in the circuit’s 77 year history.
"I think it's huge for the sport," said Tyler O'Hara, who finished third. "I think Elena just broke the barrier as far as a woman on a motorcycle at the top level. I'm proud of her."

Just of her bike in the garage. I have a crappy camera that is useless taking pictures on the track.
