I've worn men's under armour in the past, but I really like the new mesh under armour (http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/womens/apparel/underwear-and-socks) for women. I HATE wearing a tight fitting bra when I ride, so this looks like a nice alternative to the shelf bra tank tops I normally wear.

Under Armour for me one hundred percent of the time. Short rides or Long. I always ride with jeans under my riding pants around town and they make the seam problem melt away...:cloud9:
When Lucky Devil was here she had some new stuff that she said out did the AR stuff. But I don't recall what it was...:chin: She is a little tied up right now and probably won't see this or she could weigh in on it too.

Same for me until someone suggests a better brand.

I think I remember reading that LD was wearing LD Comfort www.ldcomfort.com (http://www.ldcomfort.com/)which has men's and women's versions of their shorts. I've heard good things about them, just having a hard time coughing up the dough - I think they are 39.99 for the women's. A wife of one of my boyfriend's coworkers says she swears by Ex Officio boy shorts.

Well I am a little....'confused'...to say so. I have never thought or tried some of these garments you are talking about.
As mentioned before I now really think I have a wooden butt..... No kidding!
With regular under-garment I am perfect and ride full days with no problems.
Never occured to me to look for something different.
Am I missing something here?
One more thing to be educated on, I see! :o:

THATS IT!!! Thank you! :D:
I saw a demo on them once and they put them in a bucket of water let you touch them on both sides, then rung them out and you touched them again, both sides and the inside felt dry. I have know idea how that works but it did...
I want a pair but I need new shoes for my bike first. Then I need a...then I want a...

Hmm...glad there are others with that syndrome :D: I just ordered a pair of First Gear TPG pants so riding shorts are on hold for a bit.

I have been fine with my regular every day undies too, but recently I got a few pairs of icebreaker wool underpants and I heart them very much. they're not scratchy at all! I should add that I have been wanting a pair of woolen underpants for AGES and this was just an excellent excuse.
my partner has a couple of pairs of ex officio boxers and he likes them very much. he got them so he could get away with only bringing 2 pairs of pants on long trips - he can wear one and wash the other. they're quick drying and aren't ever supposed to stink. I think my wool undies will work for this as well.

When I wear my black mesh pants with no liner, I am wearing the black UA shorts. Mostly for modesty--cause I am wearing regular underwear, too. But they work great.
I can see the UA mesh bra in my future, too. I hate the sweaty bra thing--and all I wear are sports bras anyway.
Thanks for all the responses. The mesh bra looks like it will be in my possesion pretty quick. I had been looking for a sport bra but could not find any in my size, but Under Armour has a xxl that will work

I use the UA too. moisture wicking, antibacterial, drys quickly...makes a great swimsuit....

Sounds to me like you are fortunate not to have a princess butt like me. ;):

In summer, for me ..."boy shorts" rule! I've got the ex-officio boy shorts but I honestly think the 2 for $9.99 set at Target are great. no seams and super comfy and for travel, they wash up and dry quick/ overnight.
My favorite for Winter riding is wool too. (I hear some people wear it in summer but I just don't think I could) I'm hooked on the SmartWool mid weight.
I usually wear a camisole type top with a shelf bra but realized on my last very bumpy off-road excursion that I just might be moving to a more supportive number in the near future  I'm reading this thread with interest! :ears:
So many people wear "compression" undergarmets....what's the scoop with those? Is it good for you to wear them?

The UA shorts I wear just happen to be compression, so that they fit under the pants and don't bunch up.

Deffinately. I have found on long rides though, to avoid cotton. It does not breathe well and can result in the dreaded "monkey butt".

This is from Motorcyclebelles post about her trip and back to the womens conference. It cracks me up everytime I think about it.
I learned that loads shift during riding. I had my Monkey Butt powder in the outside pocket in case of any Monkey Butt emergency. Well, during all the wind and bumpy roads in our beloved summer session of road construction, my load had shifted to make my Monkey Butt canister ride sideways instead of sitting straight up and it had come open as well. So, I'm riding along and checking my mirrors every so often to make sure nothing sneaks up behind me....like a DPS officer. And I see little puffs of white smoke coming out every time I hit a bump. Oh great....what would cause white smoke???? I can't imagine. It can't be coming out of my pipes, they're too low....so I stick my hand back there and take a look at my glove, which is covered with powder, sweet smelling MONKEY BUTT POWDER! Everytime I hit a bump, I'm poofing Monkey Butt powder out the back. It can only happen to me........the little engine that could!!! By the way, I'm out of Monkey Butt.
