I was wondering what everyones favorite foot gear is?
I where Didora's riding boots and Oxtar duel-sport boots.
I have 4 pair all for different riding.
Yes I am a gear whore. :happy

I primarily commute on my bike, so want something I can wear all day. I have 2 pairs of H&H motorcycle boots (one pair tall, the other short). They're good leather & have good soles & heels for me (being a bit vertically challenged). They've been great.

I have the Sidi Jasmine boots. I have no complaints. They're comfortable and warm. Easy to take on and off. They appear to be good quality.

For now, just Teknic Freestyle boots. I'd really like to get some SIDIs, but NO one within about a 500 mile radius carries them, and it's too much of a pain in the rear to order, then send back if not the right size. Might get some Alpinestars in the meantime.

I rode for years with just work boots. This year I bought a pair of Nitro Touring Boot. It took me awhile to get used to them. The lack of sensitivity in my instep area of the boot cause me to miss a gear every now and again. But now that I have been wearing them for some time, they are broke in and I have no regrets.

I've got a pair of the BMW boots right now. I've been thru a bunch of Alpinestars in the past.

You wouldn't go through so many boots if you would just pick up your feet when you ride!:tongue :lol

The bad part is when you have to go BACK to other boots. Yesterday as I'm gearing up for a ride, the ratchet broke on my Teknic's (:mad .... less than a year old... I WILL be calling Teknic on Monday... supposed to be a one year warranty on them). I was so ticked, and pondered not going riding, but remembered I still had some plain ol black leather mid calf boots that I used to ride in before I got the Teknic's, so I went with those.

For the first half hour of the ride, it was WEIRD... the toe box is so much smaller than my other boots that I wasn't tapping hard enough to go from 1st to 2nd, and kept going into neutral. Arrrghh! I was driving me crazy!! And I had completely ajusted to that "lack of sensitivity" so being in thinner/lighter boots, I could feel much more (including engine heat). Soo weird... Really, really hope I can get some replacement boots soon!!

I think it would just be easer on your boots if you would just put your feet on the pegs and forgo all the extra $$$ on the training wheels. IMHO!:tongue

Wow, what kind? It seems like there are so many resellers on ebay selling gear at msrp these days those deals are hard to find.

Try Newenough or Motorcyclecloseouts.com. They have good prices and will take stuff back if you order the wrong size.
MCC has always had a lot of nice chic gear.
Good luck!

I wear Kochman "Redbike" boots. They lace up, so I get a good fit whether I'm wearing heavy/multiple socks in cold weather or light weight summer socks. They really work well in the rain, as long as you cinch up the laces. They come up over the ankle with a fully webbed tongue to keep out water. They look like hiking boots/sport shoes and are easy on your feet when you're off the bike, walking around. The best part is: I tend to wear out the soles (from the foot peg, not from walking!) long before the body of the boots bite the dust. I had them resoled about two years ago. They are still water tight and it saved my about $200 to replace them! And, my feet don't get too hot in the summer while staying warm (maybe due to the boxer engine at my feet) in winter.

I was looking up the boots and came across this link:

Nice boot..

And then at the bottom saw this...:(

NOTE: As of August 2, 2007, Kochmann Boots are apparently no longer being sold in the U.S.A., due to the extreme exchange rates.

I think we are one just starting to see this here and it dosent look like a turn around any time soon...sad

Bummer. Looks like I'll need to keep mine for a long time. Thankfully, they're are made to last.
