Not a big fan of modulars, but they really put alot of thought into this one. It can be full face or 3 quarter. Plus easy to use air vents,no more guessing which way is open or closed.

I see the helmet is both ECE and DOT approved but I am unfamiliar with ECE. Is ECE just the European certification spec? How does ECE compare with SNELL?

Here is a review of it if anyone would like more information.
It weighs in a bit heavy for me at 4lbs 2 5/8 ozs.,ut it has some wonderful features including a cheek pad inflation button.

I've read in the past that ECE is generally accepted to be a more realistic certification vs snell. The reason was that SNELL has a requirement to handle a certain force in the same place at least twice and this translates to a shell that translates more G forces to your head. The ECE Standard has different requirements and basically is a more realistic standing. I've been seeing more US helmets come out with an ECE standard which is good IMOP.

Seems like the modulars tend to be just heavier by nature. Here's a few helmet wieght comparasons:

You'll notice the modulars listed at the bottom, ironically this scorpion isn't the heaviest of the bunch.
