Great find!!
I see it is very different system than some of the waterproof zippers around. I like that.
Trying to be devils advocate, what will happen in very cold temperatures. I hope the material will remain flexible to do its job.

I wondered that myself...

I also wondered how well the "zipper" would stay open for venting. Usually plastic molded items always want to remain in their original position/shape, thus they would always want to press against each other... defeating the purpose of having a vent.

I guess we'll have to wait and see :chin:

This is it but it is hard to tell, it comes with built in kidney belt, hydration pack,( I believe Jonas Street is wearing this in the Dakar this year) and it has the most aterproof seems I have seen and it is "Gortex"

These are the pants they are hard core adventure enduro The 2 pc suit is about $2100 cdn maybe more, not cheap but highest of quality.

KLIM DAKAR PANTS
The ride started with a nip in the air. Thirty miles later it is sunny and warm. Like a chameleon, the Dakar Pant, with its controlled ventilation chassis, changes to meet the demands of any condition with little adjustment. The Dakar can adapt with the help of 20 inch mesh-lined zippered thigh vents and a mesh-lined rear leg vent. Adaptation does not come at the cost of performance and durability. The Dakar Pant is built with TNP heat and abrasion- resistant leather panels on the inner legs, Cordura® fabric for strength and highly reinforced knees and seat. Be ready to take the lead no matter the condition with the Dakar Pant.

My opion the suit is to heavy weight wise, I have no interest in it.

What makes you feel that the jacket is heavy?

What makes you feel that the jacket is heavy?

For me I find Gortex material heavy, compared to the Kordura, the kidney belt and built in camel pak add weight.

It is not a tight or form fitting jacket for me. Not that I am built in any shape other than flat front and back straight up and down. ( I know TMI)

The jacket does not come with armour you add it afterwards. I can't imagine the weight.

Right now I am wearing a Unisex Offtrack from Revit. So far mine has lasted, not put to a good ride like LD's, we will see after South Africa come this fall.

Ummmmm... air conditioning is different than air flow. Your definition of "air conditioning" is obviously much different than mine  Hot is hot... whether you're going 75 mph or 105 mph.

Air Conditioning: control of temperature, humidity, purity, and motion of air in an enclosed space, independent of outside conditions.

If that jacket had a cooling system I would gladly part with $1500... otherwise, not happening.

Is this the most expensive textile riding suit made? I don't think I've ever seen anything so expensive.

Cost prohibitive doesn't even begin to describe it.

Would Bags of ice in the pockets help?

Yep your right. It is probably the most expensive thing out there.
