As some of you already know, I have been working on putting together a bookstore quality paperback book that summarizes some of the helpful information we have for new women riders. I'm happy to announce that it is finally ready. :yahoo: Here is a link for the book, TwoWheelFemales.com - Guide for Beginning Women Motorcycle Riders (http://www.lulu.com/shop/karen-boyd/twowheelfemales-com-guide-for-beginning-women-motorcycle-riders/ebook/product-17377315.html;jsessionid=572045F3B07E9F62E831CC9A1 AA02D6E). The book is also available as an e-book download. All proceeds from book sales go back into TwoWheelFemales.com to help defray the cost of running the site.

Way to go and just in time.
On another forum we (mostly guys) were having a discussion about some of them having wifes who want to start riding. So I posted your book there.

So, what sort of things does it include? Posts from the forum? Are the authors of the posts on this forum credited?

It includes things to consider when deciding to ride, both in not being dissuaded and in not being convinced against your will, it talks about msf classes and learning to ride, etc. No posts from the forum are included as such, some ideas are from this forum and other forums, some ideas are as original as is possible with this type of material, some information is from discussions with various people, a lot of the information is a combination of all of the above. TwoWheelFemales is credited in general, but no specific person is mentioned because there is too much over-lapping of information.

I was so excited when I saw the package at my doorstep! I ripped open the box and started reading that day. It was really helpful, especially since I'm a REALLY new rider. It's comforting to know that everyone can have their I-feel-like-I'm-doing-everything-wrong kind of days and that if I don't catch on right away, IT'S OKAY! I'm excited about my MSF class next month :D: Thanks for the wonderful book, but I wish it had more! For now I'll just keep reading the forum :):

Some famous author said, or if no one did, someone should have said, “Leave em wanting a sequel”. Congrats on the book rAK.

That is awesome! I started reading and looking for sites with women riders from day one. There is no way to measure how much it helped me. When I started I knew that I knew nothing, that I needed lots of advice, and that I needed it from women riders because the problems and fears I was dealing with were different than what the men faced. For instance, just finding out that other women were scared made me feel better. Men don't talk much about being so scared they want to cry but riding anyway!!!!
plus, the way women approach learning is often different as are our reasons for riding.
Congrats on the book. It will be a blessing to lots of lady riders and give them the encouragement they need to keep going. :wootrock:
