Hello Everyone!

I'm new here and what caught my attention is your favorite riding boots, Lil. I am looking for a nice, comfortable pair as we speak! I need something over the ankle, that is lady-like, but made for riding. Also something that doesn't weigh a ton!

I live in the foothills of North Carolina and love riding here. I prefer back roads over traffic, but don't mind highways, as long as there isn't a jam!

I definetly would check out Alpinestars riding boots. I absolutely LOVE mine. They were comfy from the first time I put them on. And they are true to size so thats not an issue. Nor are they weighty. They aren't bulky looking and the easily fit under my jeans. I would recommend them to anyone! Again, welcome to the site!! :)

My favorite boots are the Daytonas... they are the lightest boots I've ever tried (and I tried on a lot)... also the calf area is VERY adjustable which is good for me and my uber calves of doom.

I buy mine from Helimot's which is located in my area. The site I linked to has a good selection but there might be a better place to get them.

Okay Ladies, I've looked and looked and finally found my "riding" boots. I finally found a pair of cowboy boots that feet my wide feet with high instep! They are wonderfully comfortable and look awesome on me while I ride my Honda Shadow! Take care all and ride safe!

Which type of cowboy boots? Are you talking about lacers or shitkickers?

Just be aware that if they don't lace up, they'll come off really easy. I can imagine how they'd be relatively comfortable although the pair of shitkickers I had many moons ago were slick on the bottom.

If you get to the point you want more protection, come back to this thread. All the boots suggested to you have armor and offer ankle protection.

Welcome to the site! Good luck on your boot search. I'm partial to Sidi but they're not exactly harley wear ;)
