I think someone tried to get this going for 2010, but it never took off. Let's make this happen for 2011. I know some people live where they can't ride year wrong and different things, but regardless, its kind of fun to just see how many miles you ride through the year.

There were a few others who posted initial pics, but not ending pics.

Go ahead and post up pics of your odometers with a GPS or Cell phone showing the date and lets get 2011 rolling.

Only rule is your bike must have a permanent odometer that can't be reset. Post up all your bikes you got. If you sell or buy more throughout the year, just make sure you get starting and ending mileage with pics!

8,685 as of 4/10/11! Nice. There's about 20-2011 miles on there that I'm not counting because I forgot to take a photo when I picked her up from the shop, but that's JUST FINE.

Here's mine. Just couldn't get the date to show up on my cell. Do have the forms for our club and the BMW MOA mileage contest that are witnessed, if needed. Goal for this year - be in the top 25 in the BMW MOA. Let's see if I can make it. Anyone with a BMW that is a member of the BMW MOA want to join me?? It could be kind of cool for a couple of twowheelfemales making it. Here's hoping the body and bike holds up this year.

I finally got my bike so I can now enter.

When I took the photo I didnt realise it was on the trip meter, I was just excited to have it home that night. The trip meter says 2.4 and the Odometer actually said 2. I hope you will accept my entry with the trip meter in the photo.

This is going to be one of my lowest mileage years myself in probably 6-7 years. :(: I'm around 24,350 so that's less then 6k. Past years I was usually around 25-30k.

This year though, we didn't do a big trip on the bikes and I now work from home pretty much all the time definitely led to a lot less bike miles. I think the biggest thing is I actually got a decent car this year (Diesel Beetle) that gets 45-50mpg, so jumping on the bike for mileage savings wasn't there. In past years it was either my big truck that got 18mpg or my old worn out Grand Am with no A/C so I always jumped on the bike.

Peaches is parked for the winter so I could tally up the total but the odometer doesnt work and I can only give a rough guess of 7-8k for the year. It's about average for me but not bad considering Peaches was down for about a month this fall on a top-end rebuild.

Wish I had officially entered the mileage contest this year but never took a shot of the odometer. I think I put more miles on the XT250 than I put on my car in 2011 - somewhere around 9K. ~20 group day rides, and 5 multi-day trips. It was a good year on two wheels for sure. :riding:

Ending - hard to read - flash didn't go off for whatever reason. 61,823 for total miles of 17,751. This will be my starting for 2012, unless I buy another bike, given SheBike's total miles. Okay, here is my 09 Vstrom 650 Mileage and Sarah's '06 BMW F650GS mileage. This was an extremely low mileage year for me. One of the main reasons is I work from home 99% of the time now, so that took away my 100 mile/day commute I used to do. I also now own a VW Beetle Diesel that gets as good or sometimes even better mileage than the bike, so I tended to drive it more too, especially during the hot summer months since it was the first time in years I had A/C in a car. :lol:

We also didn't have any big trips this year. We did one Dual Sport trip this year that got cut short at 4 days, but both of us were on borrowed bikes for that. We did do a FL trip in Dec, but I rode my Dad's bike. I did maybe a couple weekend trips on my Strom and the rest was day rides. I think we need to do better next year! :D:

Ha, AND I don't have any heated gear! it's all my commute - I have a 90 mile per day commute and you said you're working at home now... but still I didn't commute nearly as much by motorcycle as I should have!

Well my phone went into a Lake and the pictures of my mileage was on it...that was the bad news.
Good news with our Harley Dealership/Chapter they record our beginning year mileage and end year mileage and on the Harley I have a tad over 12K (per the recorder Joe) and on the Honda I have 10K (approx) so now to go take this years pictures.

Yup, I went to GA to visit a friend and I brought some of Danielle's ashes with me. I put my phone in my coat pocket when I got her ashes out and as I went to sprinkle some in the lake I leaned over and it fell out of my pocket into the lake apparently I just couldn't dive in fast enough to save it.:):
