Does anyone here own a Aerostitch 1 piece suit?

I'm contemplating buying one (my current rain gear leaves A LOT to be desired), but I'm concerned about the fact that they don't make a verison of the suit for women. I haven't had much luck with mens gear fitting properly... actually, I haven't had ANY luck with mens gear fitting me properly. I've even gone so far as to try and have mens gear altered... but it still never fits right. Since the suit is on the pricey side, I don't want to buy it and end up never wearing it because it's uncomfortable.

If anyone has experience with the Roadcrafter suit, please post up your experience with fitment and sizing.

Thanks in advance.

p.s. the soundtrack to this post is The Eurythmics song "Here Comes The Rain Again"

I have exp with both the one and two piece. As a lady rider I would go with the two piece as it is much easier to go to the bathroom...
The arms on the OP is very bulky and makes it hard to do so and keep it off of some of the things in the sterling clean bathrooms we run across on our travels. And when not in use they are VERY bulky to pack. Not that it can't be done. I have and do pack mine. But I find it very easy to use a two piece over a one that that is what I do.
As to the fit. I don't think I can help you as I only fit in mens. I'm tall and light weight and there is nothing in the W size that will fit.
Have you done the Sizing Page on the Aero site? Do that and see what they say. They are very good in working with you to find the right fit.

This is only MHO and not to be taken as advice or truth. Every one can go back to their lives now...:tongue

Thanks for the feedback. I was interested in the one piece suit for commuting during the winter. I hadn't considered the bathroom issue, although I don't usually stop for restroom breaks on my commute. But if I used the suit for a trip or longer ride, I can see how it would become an issue. Not too concerned with bulk of storage since I've got giant Givi bags I can stuff it in if I needed too.

I did the Aerostitch sizing thing... and reviewed their alteration options. I think my main concern is with the sleeves... I have pretty scrawny arms, and they state they can adjust sleeve length only, not girth... and I'm afraid the armor will just move/slide all around if the sleeves aren't snug enough.

You mentioned that you're tall and light... as am I... would you mind sharing your height/weight/and size of suit you ended up with??... or PM it to me if you don't feel like posting the info for all the world to see :)

I was 5'11" and weighed in at 127lbs with a 36 inseam. I'm shorter now that I broke my neck 11 years ago, 5' 9 1/2". I'm still 127lbs and all legs. :tongue

I have a 34 L that was made a loooong time ago for someone else. I only wear it with stuff under it. sweater, jacket, vest or something. And I tend to wear it when it is cold and wet. So putting it on over all my other "stuff" tends to work for me. It just takes me a half an hour to get done in the restroom! :lol
As to the sleeve issue I have a jacket that I had Velcro put on the sleeve to take up the slack and help hold the armored stuff in place. It also keeps the fatigue down from all the flapping. Just an idea.

Have you thought of the Kilimanjaro II jacket with the First Gear Over pants? They have a good removable liner and keep me warm at 70 mph down to about 40 deg. More than that and I put my Gerbing on too. I have no fat for insulation. Being skinny isn't all good!:happy
The KII is an older model. DON"T get a newer one they are not as good! Please take MHO on this. You can still find them at closeout places if you look. I wear a mans small. The chic ones sleeves are way to short for me. the pants are what ever it was that fit my long legs. I just don't remember the size...

Hope this helps, you can take all this with a grain of salt. I do!:lol
