But spent over 2 hours in line.

You see I live in the country. Even during a Pres. Election we have maybe 850 to 1500 people vote on 4 machines. The longest I have ever waited was about 25 minutes. And that was back when we had to write on a form and I had to do it before leaving to go to work along with all the other people that had day jobs too.

Today every person in the whole Township I think has decided to Vote. And how many machines do we have? TWO... Don't get me wrong I think its GREAT that more people have decided to get off the couch and put out the energy to VOTE! But only TWO machines? Come on folks!! (and they are paperless:mad )

So many people did not understand the touch screen thing. Old farmer Bob took 26 minutes and had to get two people to help him figure it out. I can feel for Bob. He can run a combine or a chainsaw. Know when and how to plant and harvest but when it comes to a Confuzer he is lost. And he is not alone it is happening all over the country right now.

The mother of 2 small children. She was having a fun time. We all watched her chase after her 16 mo old, he would not stand to be held nor would he stand to be left alone. His way of handling all this? He cried...for most of the two hours. It was fun!

Well I am back home and have more Sheetrock to sand so I think I will go and get to it. It's a way to get something done and not have to think about all the people that are waiting or not in line to Vote today...

End of Rant...:moo

I am just too old to start changing now, next time maybe...

OK next time I will risk burning my dinner as I fill out my absentee voter form. Scratch that I'll wait tell dinner is over! :lol

Absentee is the way to go. It's nice to sit down and take your time going over each measure, candidate, etc... and be able to do some extra research if necessary.

I Goggle everything I can to find out as much as possible first. I NEVER want to go cold into the voting booth, I might freeze up and vote against my convictions!

For me, going to the Townships polling place is a chance to see people you only get to see once or twice a year. I know it's not the same when you live in larger areas. But this time it was all electronic and so many more felt the urge to get out and vote  that it kinda hung things up for a spell.

Its all good!:happy
