I apologize if there is already a thread regarding this. I found one from 2008, but nothing recent.

Are there any sliders/spools, frame and axle, that individuals recommend? I have a Ninja 650 and I would like to protect the bike as much as possible if/when I ever drop or wreck the bike.

I did find these two links, but I know nothing about the brands, quality, etc.

I've used sliders ever since they came out... they are very good for simple tip overs on flat surfaces.

personally, i like the ones that stick out a little more - shown in the second link

My husband has a Ninja 10R, he has T-Rex sliders for his. Mine are Motosliders, I do not know if they are available for Kawi. Ours both stick out like your last link for more protection.

Shogun and Vortex come to mind. But basically they're all the same. I agree with msyzf2u and JustFiona....get the ones that stick out like in your second link! :):

+1 on T-rex if they have them for your bike. I've crash tested them and they do what they say they will. I saved a lot of money on stuff that wasn't damaged that probably should have been. They are a great value on are made of the same stuff as the big brands.
