Gear indicator on ninja 650R

Ok, so I sometimes get a little be forgetful about which gear im in when riding around town. Sometimes i can stay in 3rd the whole trip, other times i need to go up to 4th, the problem is, when it comes to down shifting to stop i forget where i am :redface1:
Brendan has had a look online about getting a gear indicator for my ninja but from what he has read, it wont work all that well and would take a bit to get it hooked up. Does anyone else with a ninja have one or knows of someone who has?

OH! Me too!! :howdy: Same bike, same problem. My husband says that there is a way to get one set up for the Ninja, but I haven't looked in to it yet. I can't wait to hear others' answers!
