Hey All....names Colleen, and I ride/race a 2003 R1 here in Australia. Great to see another site for us girls who like to kick some butt on two wheels!

This will be my first season racing, and Im looking forward to this year. Here some pics of me and my baby, doin what I love best...

Welcome! I love that inside pass pic! I work as a CCS Corner Marshal in the Midwest region. We have a very small group of ladys that race here. It is so cool to see them ride!!! WOOOHOOO!!!

Well I have only just discovered the wonderful world of track racing about a year and a half ago. I had been riding my R1 for about a 8 months, and didnt think I was riding to its potential...so..I hauled my butt to the track to get myself educated. After my first trackday, I was hooked. I kept going, went through all the levels..found out I loved the feeling of whipping the guys over testosteroned asses..and got my race licence.
I had my very first race last November..an all ladies race at our very final race of the season here..so big crowds. There were only 7 of us ladies. I was so excited as I was racng against our fastest female racer there, as well as other ladies who have been racing for all that year. So im up against 3 ladies who know what they are doing. I was in second position on the grid....in my first race. ...and I came second in the race!! And the same in the second race..second again(confused yet?)
So there I am, first ever race..got a trophy, got applause..some wolf whistles:happy :lol and my race career was cemented!! MotoGP here I come..(prolly as a spectator..but hey..you gots to aim high!!):lol

I HIGHLY recommend all you ladies get out on the track and do some courses. You dont have to do it to learn how to race..I did it to learn how to ride better and to understand my bike. And the bonus is you can turn that throttle without fear of losing ur licence:thumbup: I do recommend getting raceglass(fairing) for ur bike..as plastics sure are an expensive item to repair..as I unfortunately learned lowsiding in the early part of my trackdays.:cryin:
Anyhoot..got on ebay, got me some glass..and im all set..and would you believe it..never dropped it yet...always seem to drop my damn bike when I have the nice pretty fairings on:(

It is always fun to see the new riders on the track.
Maybe you should start looking into sponsorship if you don't have any yet. The girls here do well in that area...just a thought, it could pay for oil or tires. :thumbup:
