View Full Version : I've Committed Motorcycle Adultery

It's been a goal of mine to do track days, but I didn't want to ride my beloved FZ6 at the track.... for many reasons really, but mainly because it's my daily rider and if something unfortunate ever happened at the track, it would cost me my main source of transportation. So I basically started checking the for sale ads on my local MC forum... and after several weeks of checking the ads daily, someone posted a track ready 2001 Honda F4i. I went and checked it out, haggled a little bit on the price, and ended up bringing it home that same day :riding:
But now my FZ6 might get a little jealous having this parked in the garage, vying for my attention:

Don't think of it as adultery, think of it as relationship therapy!

Hmmm... I guess it's not so much motorcycle adultery as it is motorcycle polygamy :lol
I'll post periodically as I progress on my "Track Day Odyssey"... since I'm a total newb at it, I'm sure I'm headed for some trials and tribulations that others might learn from.
It's been in the works for a looooong time (I've been working towards this for well over a year), so now that it's finally all coming together and getting so close... I'm seriously having a hard time containing my excitement.
I totally embarrassed myself at work today... I was walking down the hall, heading for the bathroom... and I was completely lost in thought about my new bike and how all that's left is deciding which school I want to go to and picking the day(s), when I totally pumped my fist in the air and let out an emphatic "YES!" outloud to myself... well I thought it was to myself, because I looked up and a coworker who was walking down the hall towards me was laughing and said "someones having a good day.":blush::blush:

You can always tell a person who loves their bike by that silly ear-to-ear grin that just won't go away whenever they think about it. :happy But wouldn't you rather be that person than the one going around with a frown? The person who would NEVER ride a motorcycle because they are SO dangerous...blah blah blah.

So when is the first track day?
I reserved my spot this morning!!!
