Re: Hurry up and wait...
Don't forget to dress for the weather! Not sure what the temperatures are likely to be out there in mid-February, but you'll spend a fair amount of time NOT moving around, either sitting and waiting on your motorcycle or standing and watching or discussing. Dress in layers, so you can adjust your comfort level.
Find out what sort of "gear" you need to wear. Usually the students are responsible for footwear (over the ankle sturdy shoes/boots), at the minimum with "loaner" gloves, eye protection and helmets available. The loaner gloves are gonna be one size fits all work gloves from the local hardware depot... too big for most women. And the eye protection will be those lovely glasses you'd wear in chemistry lab. If you've got any kind of leather full-finger glove that fits you, wear those. Your own sunglasses or prescription eye glasses should suffice for eye protection.
Check with the site before going with my suggestions. I don't want to get anyone in trouble.
